Rain, Severe Weather Chances Increase
Rain and severe weather chances look to increase across the Stateline this week as we enter a more northwesterly flow pattern, which typically brings multiple thunderstorm clusters to the region. Pattern Change Brings Rain and Severe Weather Chances
The past few days have included partly cloudy conditions, moderate temperatures and higher humidity. An incoming pattern change means our rain chances (and chances for severe weather) increase. A "ring of fire" has/will develop across the region. This is when high pressure develops to our west and thunderstorm clusters develop and ride the edge of the ridge. Pattern Change Brings Daily Rain Chances
For the past few days, we have enjoyed a relatively dry pattern with the exception of Wednesday, where parts of the Stateline saw over an inch of rain. We will likely continue to see dry conditions through tomorrow. Starting as early as Friday night, though, rain chances re-enter the forecast. As seen above, rain looks possible to even likely Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and into Wednesday.
